The position of Mentor for Interns at UNFPA involves guiding and supporting interns assigned to the UNFPA Representation in Burundi. Duties and Responsibilities:
The mentor's duties include assisting the Personal Assistant of the Representative with administrative and secretarial tasks while adhering to UNFPA's rules and confidentiality standards. Responsibilities also encompass supporting the organization and maintenance of the Representation's filing system, both physical and electronic. The mentor will help manage the Representative's agenda, coordinate appointments and meetings, and prepare meeting minutes. Additionally, the mentor will assist in planning travel arrangements in collaboration with the Senior Driver, prepare essential documents for meetings and missions, and draft correspondence for the Representative's signature. Other tasks include organizing commemorative events related to UNFPA's mandate, performing office tasks such as printing and photocopying, managing document reception and archiving, facilitating internal and external communication, contributing to the writing of notes and reports, and providing support in other areas as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the mentor position should possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen understanding of administrative processes within an international organization. They should demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude towards mentoring and a commitment to supporting the professional development of interns. Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary working language in Burundi.
