Job Overview:
The Senior Facilitator position is a casual role aimed at delivering the Journey of Hope program as part of the recovery response to the Bondi Terrorist attack. The role involves working with young people aged 12-18, delivering engaging online and in-person sessions. The facilitators will work as part of a team to create lasting change for children, ensuring that quality service delivery aligns with program guidelines and stakeholder expectations. The position offers flexible opportunities, with sessions typically scheduled from Monday to Friday, and occasional evening work required. The facilitators will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the program's effectiveness and consulting with local communities to ensure the services meet their needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Facilitator include delivering Journey of Hope sessions to primary school-aged children, running sessions with parents and caregivers, ensuring quality service delivery in line with program guidelines, connecting children with appropriate services, and conducting timely monitoring and evaluation of program inputs and outcomes. Additionally, facilitators will consult regularly with local communities and professionals to ensure that the programs are effectively meeting local needs. They will also need to respond calmly to crisis situations and work collaboratively with other facilitators to provide the best support for children and families.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Senior Facilitator position should have demonstrated experience working with children and families who have experienced trauma. Significant facilitation or teaching experience is required, along with the ability to effectively communicate and deliver information to children. Strong organizational skills and a high level of computer literacy are essential.
