Job Overview:
The Cluster Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the i-Work program within the assigned cluster. This position requires the individual to ensure that the program is delivered consistently according to the established workplans, budgets, quality standards, and donor requirements. The Cluster Coordinator will manage a team of cluster-based members, fostering collaboration with local stakeholders to create inclusive, gender-transformative, and youth-centered pathways into internships and workforce readiness. The role is crucial in supporting the development of inclusive workplaces and facilitating smooth transitions for participants into the job market. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership and coordination skills, ensuring that all activities align with VSO's mission and values.

Required Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, or a related field is required. A master's degree or equivalent experience in program management or international development is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in program coordination or management, particularly in the context of youth employment or community development. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is highly desirable.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of local languages such as Amharic or Tigrinya is an advantage, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders and beneficiaries.
Additional Notes:
This position is full-time and based in Ethiopia, with potential travel to various locations within the country. VSO promotes equal opportunities and encourages applications from diverse backgrounds. - Manage and support cluster-based team members, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders, including businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations, to enhance program effectiveness.
- Monitor and evaluate program activities to ensure quality standards are met and report on progress to stakeholders.
- Facilitate training and capacity-building initiatives for team members and local partners to promote inclusive practices.
- Engage with youth and marginalized groups to ensure their needs are addressed in design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design and implementation.
- Prepare and submit reports to donors and VSO management, detailing program outcomes and financial expenditures.
- Represent VSO at local meetings and forums, advocating for the program and its beneficiaries.
- Ensure compliance with VSO policies and procedures, particularly regarding safeguarding and equal opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in program coordination or management, preferably in the development sector.
- Strong understanding of youth employment issues and inclusive practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
