Job Overview:
The HR Administrator (HR Admin) position is critical within the MSF International Office (ICO) as it focuses on delivering high-quality HR administration for NCR International Mobile Staff. The HR Admin is responsible for managing employment contracts and processing benefits programs while maintaining a strong customer service attitude. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR administrative issues, including payroll and benefits inquiries. The HR Admin must ensure compliance with internal processes, HR policies, and legal regulations, particularly in relation to Swiss labor law. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in HR processes and systems. The HR Admin will work closely with various stakeholders, including managing sections and other HR team members, to ensure smooth HR operations and support for employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The HR Admin will handle a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: acting as a contact person for HR administrative issues, providing support on payroll inquiries, managing employment contracts, ensuring accurate registration of employees in HRIS systems, developing employment contracts based on work orders, terminating contracts as necessary, reviewing salary grading for employees, supporting post-payroll processes, maintaining employee personnel files, updating HR information systems, ensuring timely registration and deregistration of international medical insurance, advising employees on health insurance claims, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and participating in the continuous development of HR processes. The HR Admin will also be responsible for monitoring GDPR compliance, advising on potential risks, and collaborating with overseas counterparts to ensure effective HR administration.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in MSF HR administration, with experience as an OC HR admin being highly valued. A strong understanding of MSF HR policies and processes, particularly IRP2, is essential. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, along with excellent planning and organizational skills, is required. Knowledge of Swiss employment law is considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, and a pragmatic and rigorous approach to their work. Proficiency in English is essential, while knowledge of French is desirable.
Educational Background:
