Job Overview:
The position of Two National Individual Consultants on STEAM Education Piloting is a critical role within the UNDP's Advancing Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All Project. The consultants will be responsible for developing and implementing a pilot program focused on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education. This initiative aims to enhance educational practices and improve learning outcomes in Moldova by integrating STEAM methodologies into the curriculum. The consultants will work collaboratively to design educational materials, conduct training sessions for educators, and evaluate the effectiveness of the pilot program. They will also engage with stakeholders, including educational institutions, government bodies, and community organizations, to ensure the successful implementation of the program. Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Master's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in STEAM education or instructional design will be considered an asset. A strong academic background in one or more of the STEAM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) is also preferred.
Experience:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of education, with a focus on curriculum development, teacher training, or educational program implementation. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs in educational projects is highly desirable. Proven track record of successfully managing educational initiatives and working collaboratively with various stakeholders is essential.
Languages:
Fluency in both Romanian and English is mandatory. Knowledge of Russian is considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with a broader range of stakeholders in Moldova. Strong written and verbal communication skills in the required languages are essential for this role.
Additional Notes:
This position is offered as an individual contractor role, and the contract duration will be determined based on the project timeline and deliverables. The consultants will be expected to work full-time during the pilot program's implementation phase.
