Job Overview:
The Humanitarian Analyst position at UNFPA Jordan is critical in supporting the organization's humanitarian response efforts. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting humanitarian analysis, providing technical program support, and ensuring effective coordination, monitoring, and reporting of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and gender-based violence (GBV) interventions in refugee camps and host communities. This role is essential in adapting to the evolving humanitarian-development nexus, ensuring that interventions are responsive to the needs of refugees and vulnerable populations. The analyst will engage in data collection, analysis, and documentation to inform evidence-based decision-making and program planning, while also contributing to the overall strategic support for UNFPA's humanitarian initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Humanitarian Analyst will undertake a variety of duties, including:

• Conducting comprehensive humanitarian analysis to identify key trends, emerging needs, and operational challenges affecting refugees and vulnerable populations.
• Contributing to the planning, implementation, and monitoring of SRH and GBV interventions, ensuring alignment with UNFPA standards and humanitarian principles.
• Engaging with implementing partners through field visits and regular communication to monitor progress and identify gaps in service delivery.
• Supporting needs assessments and data collection efforts to generate evidence on humanitarian needs and service accessibility.
• Contributing to humanitarian coordination mechanisms and maintaining effective relationships with government counterparts, UN agencies, and local partners.
• Preparing reports, proposals, and advocacy materials to support resource mobilization and donor engagement.
• Documenting lessons learned and good practices from humanitarian interventions to inform future programming.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Humanitarian Analyst position should possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide actionable recommendations. Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in humanitarian analysis, program management, or related fields. Languages:
Fluency in Arabic is mandatory, as it is the official language of Jordan. Proficiency in English is also essential, as it is widely spoken and used in professional settings. Knowledge of additional languages such as French, German, Italian, or Spanish is considered a plus, although not mandatory.
