Job Overview:
The position of WFP Storekeeper Fleet SC4 is crucial for the effective management of warehouse operations within WFP Afghanistan. The job holder will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, dispatch, and verification of commodities, ensuring that all operations comply with WFP warehouse standards and established guidelines. This role requires a proactive approach to maximize the quality of warehouse operations and mitigate losses. The storekeeper will work under the supervision of the Store Supervisor or Workshop Manager and will be expected to operate with minimal supervision. The position also involves providing on-the-job training to other warehouse staff, thereby fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment. The storekeeper will play a key role in maintaining accurate stock records, implementing proper stock management practices, and ensuring that all goods are stored safely and securely. This position is based in Kabul, where the storekeeper will be exposed to all phases of warehouse operations, contributing to the overall mission of WFP in Afghanistan.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the WFP Storekeeper Fleet SC4 include but are not limited to:

• Carefully counting and registering all goods received, ensuring any discrepancies in quantity are documented on the Goods Receipt Note (GRN) or Proof of Delivery (POD) and reported to the originator.
• Conducting quality control for all received goods, reporting any damaged or incorrect items to the immediate supervisor.
• Ensuring that all spare parts and materials requested are duly authorized and accounted for, issuing them according to established criteria for each vehicle or machinery manufacturer.
• Recording all spare parts and materials returned to stock accurately.
• Preparing requests for spare parts and materials for transfer to other depots, ensuring proper packing and sealing.
• Supervising the physical loading of spare parts and materials for transport to other locations, ensuring they are loaded correctly to prevent damage.
• Maintaining up-to-date spare parts catalogues, price lists, and cross-reference numbers for operational assets.
• Implementing effective stock management practices to maintain minimum and maximum stock levels, preventing stockouts.
• Organizing and conducting regular internal stock-taking, ensuring all stock records are accurate and comply with auditing practices. 1
• Ensuring that all spare parts and materials are stored in a safe, clean, and secure environment, optimizing space utilization. 1
• Preparing orders for local and international procurement, tracking the procurement process until goods are received. 1
• Adhering strictly to normative guidelines, systems, and procedures established for stock management. 1
• Entering all relevant data into the Fleet Management System (FMS) pertaining to Stock Control and Tyres modules. 1
• Sharing experiences and knowledge with other staff members to foster teamwork and a harmonious work atmosphere. 1
• Traveling occasionally as required by the organization and performing any other duties as requested by the immediate supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the WFP Storekeeper Fleet SC4 position include a completion of secondary school education, with a post-secondary technical certificate related to mechanics being desirable. Candidates must possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in spare parts warehouse and inventory management, which includes stock control, receipt and issuance of materials, inventory reconciliation, and warehouse record management.
