Job Overview:
The Risk and Compliance Intern position at NRC is designed for highly motivated individuals who are eager to gain practical experience within an international humanitarian organization. The intern will be based in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, and will work under the supervision of the Risk and Compliance Coordinator. Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for ensuring adherence to NRC's policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines. Specific duties include implementing delegated tasks according to the work and development plan, preparing and drafting progress reports as requested by the Risk and Compliance Coordinator, and promoting ideas for improving the risk and compliance management system. The intern will also conduct unannounced checks based on a predefined work plan, support the finance department with document archiving, review and transmit documents for external audit coordination, assist the Risk and Compliance Manager during training sessions, and perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a BAC+2 diploma in audit, control, management, economics, or a related field. A good understanding of English is preferred, and proficiency in computer tools is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in all matters. Additionally, candidates should exhibit patience, adaptability to different sociocultural contexts, organizational skills, and effective communication and diplomacy skills.
