Job Overview:
The Temporary MEAL Enumerator position at DRC involves supporting the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) team in data collection efforts. The role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely data is gathered to inform program decisions and improve the effectiveness of humanitarian interventions. The enumerator will be responsible for conducting data collection through various methods, including phone calls, Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM), and verification processes. Additionally, the enumerator will be tasked with uploading collected data onto relevant information management platforms, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date. This position requires a commitment to humanitarian principles and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve the organization's goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Temporary MEAL Enumerator include:

• Conducting data collection through phone calls and other methods as directed by the MEAL team.
• Supporting the team in Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) and verification processes to ensure data integrity.
• Uploading collected data onto the Activity Info platform and other relevant information management systems.
• Updating tools and trackers used for data collection to reflect the most current information.
• Modifying and editing any inaccuracies found in the data collected to maintain high standards of data quality.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and feedback throughout the data collection process.
• Upholding DRC’s core competencies, including striving for excellence, collaborating with others, taking the lead, communicating effectively, and demonstrating integrity in all actions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Temporary MEAL Enumerator position should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in working with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) or in similar roles related to data collection and analysis.
• Familiarity with Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) processes and methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• A commitment to humanitarian principles and values, with a focus on ethical conduct and integrity in all interactions.
• Proficiency in using data management tools and platforms, particularly Activity Info or similar systems.

Educational Background:
A minimum educational background for this position includes a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates with further education in social sciences, statistics, or related fields will be preferred. Relevant training or certifications in data collection methodologies or monitoring and evaluation practices will also be advantageous.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 1-2 years of experience working in data collection roles, preferably within the humanitarian sector or with NGOs. Experience in conducting surveys, interviews, or other data collection methods is essential. Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks and practices will be beneficial for this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all documentation and communication will be conducted in English. Knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local communities and stakeholders during data collection activities. Additional languages may be considered an asset, depending on the context of the work.

The position is offered on a temporary basis with a contract length of 6 months, starting on 20 August 202

• The contract is based on a 'need for work' basis, meaning that remuneration will be provided based on the tasks completed and the number of days worked. The temporary worker will not be compensated for days beyond the maximum approved work/travel days without prior written approval. Furthermore, the consultant will not be reimbursed for more than 7.4 hours of work during an approved work/travel day and will not be paid for work on Fridays and Saturdays unless previously agreed upon.
