The Specialist must maintain complete and accurate procurement files that are audit-ready, documenting all actions, decisions, approvals, modifications, and compliance requirements throughout the procurement lifecycle. Additionally, the Specialist will review contracts and purchase orders for completeness and compliance, assess contract terms and procurement risks, and coordinate with various stakeholders to support contract administration. This includes advising requestors and budget holders on procurement requirements and sourcing options, providing procurement support to country programs, and analyzing procurement data to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Procurement Specialist II position include a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in procurement or purchasing management, preferably within an international organization. Proven experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts is essential, along with experience in leading services and consultancy procurements. The position is remote, allowing for flexibility in work location. The Specialist should be willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time to support procurement activities in various locations.
