Job Overview:
The Grants Management Coordinator position is a critical role within the DRC's operations in Sudan, specifically based in Port Sudan. This position is responsible for overseeing the grants management process, ensuring that all donor communications are timely and effective, and that donor reporting meets the highest quality standards. The coordinator will lead the development of concept notes and proposals, manage partnership contracts, and ensure compliance with donor requirements. The role requires a proactive approach to managing relationships with donors and internal stakeholders, ensuring that all grants are managed efficiently and effectively. The Grants Management Coordinator will also play a key role in supporting the overall program development strategy, working closely with the Head of Programmes and other team members to enhance the quality and impact of DRC's programs in Sudan.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A minimum of two years of professional experience in grants management, program management, or program/grants coordination is required. Experience working with various sectors, including protection, WASH, and humanitarian programming, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of the complexities of humanitarian operations in Sudan and possess excellent written and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is necessary, and experience with donor reporting tools is an asset.
Educational Background:
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration or Social Sciences. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of grants management and program coordination within a humanitarian context.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in grants management or program coordination, preferably within a national or international NGO. Candidates with experience in humanitarian, humanitarian-development-peace (HDP), or durable solutions programming will be given preference. Previous experience working in Sudan or similar contexts is highly desirable, as it provides valuable insights into the operational challenges faced in the region.
Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if it enhances communication with local stakeholders and partners.

This position is offered as a one-year contract with the possibility of extension, contingent upon funding and performance. The salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for International staff. - Leading the CE/NCE processes for ongoing grants, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and shared.
- Coordinating the development of concept notes and proposals, including drafting and reviewing sections, and ensuring compliance with DRC and donor requirements.
- Maintaining the DRC grants management system, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and accessible.
- Supporting donor communications and relationships, ensuring that information flows smoothly and compliance is maintained.
- Participating in program cycle meetings and documenting key action points.
- Supporting the development of partnerships and ensuring that all necessary approvals and registrations are completed in accordance with Sudanese regulations.
- Contributing to the development of tools and processes to enhance the efficiency of grants management.
