International Consultant to Develop Pilot and Finalize a Competency-Based Training Programme

Job Overview:
The position involves developing a competency-based, face-to-face training program aimed at enhancing school safety and disaster preparedness among education professionals in the Caribbean. This initiative builds on the success of an online course developed by CDEMA with UNICEF's support. The training package will serve as a standardized regional resource adaptable for use by Ministries of Education and other institutions, focusing on practical skills, peer learning, and school-level action planning to strengthen the resilience and preparedness of education systems across the Caribbean.

Required Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a postgraduate qualification or advanced university degree (Master's degree or higher) in relevant fields such as Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, School Safety, or Disaster Risk Management, which are essential for the successful execution of the consultancy.
Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible professional experience in areas such as education program design, curriculum development, and instructional design. Experience in developing competency-based training programs and working with educational institutions and governments is crucial. Familiarity with the Caribbean region and multi-country programs is considered an asset.
Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not specified as requirements for this position.
Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this consultancy is three months, and the working arrangement is home-based. - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the training program and make necessary adjustments based on feedback.
Required Qualifications:
