Job Overview:
The Interim Manager, Peer to Peer Fundraising (Leave Coverage) is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of Doctors Without Borders' community fundraising programs. This role is crucial in managing peer-to-peer campaigns, Facebook fundraising initiatives, supporter engagement, and the overall fundraising platform operations. The manager will work closely with various departments, including Community Fundraising, Integrated Channel Marketing, and Development Operations, to ensure that fundraising programs are executed efficiently and meet annual revenue targets. The position requires a hands-on approach, demanding a candidate who is driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while supporting various fundraising projects and stakeholders. The role also involves strategic prospecting to identify new audience segments and donors, cultivating relationships with existing donors, and ensuring that fundraising efforts align with MSF's commitments and brand positioning.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Interim Manager include:
  • Managing the execution of community fundraising programs, ensuring timely delivery and performance tracking.
  • Overseeing peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns and Facebook fundraising initiatives.
  • Engaging with supporters and managing fundraising platforms to enhance donor experience.
  • Developing and implementing donor engagement strategies to build trust and loyalty among potential and existing donors.
  • Leading the planning and execution of fundraising events, including ideation and post-event analysis.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth operations of fundraising programs.
  • Preparing and coordinating data and analytics reports to assess program performance.
  • Adapting to changing circumstances and identifying marketing opportunities to enhance fundraising efforts.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in community fundraising, peer-to-peer fundraising, digital fundraising, nonprofit marketing, or supporter engagement. Additionally, at least 2 years of experience with fundraising platforms such as DonorDrive, GoodUnited, Facebook Fundraising, and Salesforce is required. Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to time-sensitive opportunities, are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and possess strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as nonprofit management, marketing, communications, or a related discipline is preferred. Advanced degrees or certifications in fundraising or nonprofit management may be advantageous.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience managing fundraising campaigns and community engagement initiatives, with a strong emphasis on peer-to-peer fundraising and digital platforms. Experience in managing fundraising events from planning through execution and reporting is also essential. Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully cultivating donor relationships and engaging supporters effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in additional languages, particularly French or Spanish, is considered a valuable asset for this role, given MSF's international operations and diverse donor base.

Additional Notes:
This is a temporary position covering a leave of absence, with no supervisory responsibilities. The role is based in Peer, Belgium, and may require occasional travel to promote MSF at in-person events such as fundraising events and conferences. The compensation for this position ranges from $88,822 to $133,233 annually, depending on relevant experience and skills.
