Job Overview:
The position of Voluntario/a en Línea is crucial in supporting the efforts to strengthen the regulatory framework for volunteerism in Bolivia. This role is part of the initiatives driven by the National Committee for the International Year of Volunteerism for Sustainable Development 2026, which aims to generate technical inputs and comparative evidence to support the promulgation of the Volunteer Law in Bolivia. The volunteer will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and systematizing normative and documentary information related to volunteerism in Bolivia and other countries in the region, thereby playing a key role in the legislative process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Voluntario/a en Línea will undertake several key activities, including:
  • Collecting and organizing information on the normative background of volunteerism in Bolivia.
  • Systematizing existing bills, initiatives, and documents related to volunteerism.
  • Conducting a comparative review of current volunteer laws in Latin American countries and other relevant international experiences.
  • Identifying best practices and common elements that can contribute to strengthening the regulatory proposal in Bolivia.
  • Preparing comparative tables, matrices, and synthesis documents.
  • Assisting in the organization of bibliographic, normative, and technical documentation.
  • Preparing brief reports with findings and recommendations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with legal frameworks and volunteerism is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate proficiency in research methodologies and have excellent organizational skills to manage information effectively.

Educational Background:
A background in law, social sciences, international relations, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of volunteerism and its implications for development and governance.

Experience:
While prior experience in volunteerism or legislative processes is advantageous, it is not strictly required. However, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to social development and an understanding of the role of volunteerism in achieving sustainable development goals.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, given the context of the work in Bolivia. Proficiency in English or other languages relevant to the region would be considered an asset, enhancing communication and research capabilities.
