Job Overview:
The Financial Integrity Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Centre’s priority workstream on Financial Integrity. This position involves contributing to the analysis and development of policy alternatives that enhance financial integrity, which is vital for sustainable development. The Specialist will engage in activities that convene policymakers, practitioners, and research partners to discuss financial integrity issues. Additionally, the role includes supporting capacity strengthening and advocacy efforts related to financial integrity, as well as developing accessible knowledge products such as briefs, dashboards, and reports. The Specialist will also facilitate knowledge management and learning initiatives focused on financial integrity, ensuring that the Centre's work is informed by the latest research and best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Financial Integrity Specialist will be responsible for the following duties:
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial integrity issues. They should have experience in policy development, advocacy, and capacity building. The ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, civil society, and the private sector, is essential. Candidates should also demonstrate creativity, adaptability, and professionalism in their work.
Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is required, typically including a degree in finance, economics, public policy, or a related field. Advanced degrees or specialized training in governance or financial integrity will be considered an asset.
Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in governance, financial integrity, or related fields. Experience working with international organizations, government agencies, or NGOs is highly desirable. Familiarity with UN processes and frameworks will be an advantage.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in additional languages, particularly those relevant to the regions of focus for the Centre, is considered a strong asset.
Additional Notes:
This is a remote, part-time UN Volunteer assignment, constituting 50% of a full-time role. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in their country of residence. The selected candidate's official duty station will be determined based on their remote work location and cannot be changed during the contract period. The position offers various benefits, including a prorated monthly living allowance, a one-time entry lump sum payment, medical and life insurance, and annual leave accrual. The allowances provided are intended to support a secure standard of living in line with United Nations standards.
