Job Overview:
The Business Intelligence area of UNICEF Chile focuses on data analysis, integration, and visualization to support strategic decision-making in fundraising. The intern will assist in analyzing data, reporting, creating presentations, and developing analytical inputs for various fundraising areas. The role involves collaboration on data science projects, segmentation, report automation, and exploratory analysis, tailored to the needs of the department. The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Database Management Assistant (GS-5).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support in data analysis: Collaborate in exploring, cleaning, processing, and analyzing databases related to donors, campaigns, income, collectability, acquisition, and retention of partners.
• Support in donor segmentation: Assist in constructing and analyzing donor segments based on behavioral variables, campaign responses, collectability, tenure, donation amounts, or other relevant criteria.
• Data visualization: Help generate graphs, dashboards, visual summaries, and reporting inputs that facilitate the interpretation of complex information by non-technical teams.
• Reporting and monitoring of indicators: Assist in the preparation and updating of periodic reports on key metrics in fundraising, contributing to monitoring results and identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities.
• Preparation of executive presentations: Contribute to building presentations, graphs, tables, and analytical summaries that clearly communicate findings.
• Documentation of processes and analysis: Help document definitions, criteria, methodologies, and procedures used in analyses, reports, and projects, ensuring traceability and consistency in data usage.

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize findings and explain results clearly.
• Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, Excel, and R and/or Python is mandatory.
• Ability to transform data into actionable conclusions for decision-making.
• Capability to create clear and visually comprehensible graphs, tables, and presentations.
• Interest in data analysis applied to marketing, fundraising, donor retention, or social impact.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data quality.

Educational Background:
Candidates must be enrolled in or have graduated within the last two years from a bachelor's or master's program in social sciences, economics, engineering, or related fields. Candidates must also be at least 18 years old and demonstrate excellent academic performance with recent university records.

Experience:
While prior experience is not mandatory, additional consideration will be given to candidates with relevant past experience in data analysis, fundraising, or related fields.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish, the working language of UNICEF's office in Chile, is required. Proficiency in another language will be considered an asset.
