Job Overview:
The Chai Associate serves as the operational backbone of WJCF's projects, ensuring that project milestones are met and deliverables are submitted on schedule. This role involves maintaining live trackers, coordinating cross-team reviews, and managing donor reporting. The Associate works closely with the Surveillance Analyst and TPT Analyst to structure data outputs, clean program trackers, and synthesize raw program data into reporting narratives. The position requires a highly organized individual who is comfortable working with program data and managing multiple concurrent project timelines. The Associate will report to the Associate Director and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate's responsibilities include maintaining a comprehensive view of all activities, deliverables, and milestones across both grants, drafting narrative reports for donor submission, and tracking action points from internal and donor review meetings. They will prepare and submit monthly and quarterly progress reports, build and maintain milestone evidence packages, and work directly with Analysts to ensure program data is clean and structured. The Associate will coordinate monthly internal review meetings, support procurement processes, and assist in onboarding new team members. They will also review outputs for completeness and consistency, support the development of training content, and maintain organized project documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in public health, management, social sciences, economics, or a related field, with a postgraduate qualification preferred. They should have 3-5 years of experience in program management, monitoring and evaluation, or grants management within a public health or development organization. Demonstrated experience managing donor reporting for institutional donors, strong proficiency in MS Excel, and excellent written communication skills in English are essential. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in public health, management, social sciences, economics, or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates holding a postgraduate qualification. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of public health programs and the analytical skills needed for data management and reporting.
Experience:
The position requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in program management, monitoring and evaluation, or grants management, particularly within a public health or development context. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing donor reporting and working with program data.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent written communication skills necessary for producing clear and concise donor reports. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not specified as mandatory.
