Currently, DRC employs over 800 staff members in Ukraine and is actively involved in emergency response efforts across various sectors, including Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs, and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action). DRC employs a multifaceted approach that includes direct interventions, support to duty bearers, collaboration with civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with local CSOs. Job Overview:
The Cleaner position at DRC is crucial for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment within the organization's premises, including offices and Guest Houses (GHs). The Cleaner will report directly to the HR and Administration Team Leader and will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in all common areas and facilities. This role is essential for creating a pleasant atmosphere for both staff and visitors, contributing to the overall effectiveness of DRC's operations. The Cleaner will engage in various cleaning tasks, including daily wet and dry cleaning of office common areas, disinfection of surfaces, and maintenance of cleanliness in guest accommodations. The position requires a proactive approach to cleanliness and a commitment to upholding DRC's standards of service and professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Cleaner will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: daily wet cleaning of office common areas such as corridors, kitchens, bathrooms, and conference halls; daily dry cleaning and disinfection of surfaces in common areas; polishing of furniture and surfaces; ensuring the cleanliness of glass, mirror, and ceramic surfaces; washing kitchen appliances and accessories as needed; monitoring the availability of office consumables like liquid soap, toilet paper, and detergents; daily garbage collection and replacement of garbage bags; seasonal window cleaning (twice a year or as needed); conducting general cleaning four times a year; cleaning switches, plinths, and accessories from dust; caring for plants in the office, apartments, and GHs; and performing wet cleaning of guesthouse apartments, including floor cleaning, polishing surfaces, ensuring cleanliness of sanitaryware, washing kitchen appliances and utensils, and managing bed linen. The Cleaner is also expected to create an atmosphere of cleanliness and friendliness within the workplace.
Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the Cleaner position, candidates must possess certain qualifications. Required qualifications include experience in cleaning offices, apartments, and guest houses, which is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should also demonstrate a neat appearance, diligence, punctuality, decency, and a strong love for cleanliness. A responsible performance of duties is essential for success in this role. - Compensation for the position will be in accordance with the Danish Refugee Council's Terms of Employment for National Staff, starting from EUR 625 gross per month, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
