Job Overview:
In this full-time permanent role, the Financial Capability Worker will play a crucial part in supporting families and communities in North Queensland to enhance their financial literacy and money management skills. The position involves providing financial counseling and resources to individuals, fostering community engagement, and ensuring that families are connected to the services offered by the organization. The role requires working both in group settings and on an individual basis, either at the center or through outreach in the community. The Financial Capability Worker will report to the Team Leader and is expected to deliver financial literacy information, facilitate workshops, and build strong networks and partnerships within the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Financial Capability Worker will be responsible for delivering financial literacy information and education in culturally appropriate ways. This includes facilitating group workshops focused on money management skills, building and maintaining strong networks and service delivery partnerships, and supporting individuals in accessing utility or telco hardship programs and No Interest Scheme Loans. Additionally, the worker will be tasked with collecting and recording data for accountability, evaluation, and reporting purposes. The role requires a proactive approach to community engagement and the ability to advocate on behalf of families, ensuring that their needs are met effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Financial Capability Worker position must demonstrate the ability to deliver financial literacy information in culturally appropriate ways. A Certificate III in Financial Literacy, Community Services, or a similar qualification is required, or a willingness to undertake such training. The role also requires highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, as well as experience in coordinating community events and activities. Educational Background:
