Job Overview: The Community Engagement Worker position is a part-time role (0.8 FTE) based in Doomadgee, working from Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a maximum term until December 31st, 202
The role is part of the Education, Engagement, and Attainment Initiatives team, focusing on creating lasting change for children and families. The worker will be responsible for building rapport with community members, coordinating educational activities, communicating emerging community issues, maintaining accurate records, and participating in team training. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Community Engagement Worker include:
Building rapport with community members to empower them to have a voice in their children's education and wellbeing.
Coordinating activities that enhance the educational environment for families.
Communicating any emerging issues within the community that may impact safety, wellbeing, and participation in programs.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on available supports and services.
Working effectively as part of a team and participating in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Engaging with families from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Supporting young people and families facing disadvantage by understanding their unique challenges and needs.

The role offers an award rate salary (currently Level 2.1 - $34.58 an hour) plus full salary packaging benefits.
