Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteers will undertake several key responsibilities, including:
  • Reviewing publicly available information from UN agencies operating in Yemen, such as websites, country programme documents, annual reports, strategic frameworks, and communication materials.
  • Analyzing United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Frameworks (UNSDCFs), Country Programme Documents (CPDs), and other relevant planning documents to extract pertinent information.
  • Mapping ongoing programmes, projects, and thematic priorities across UN agencies in Yemen to create a comprehensive overview of current initiatives.
  • Collecting and organizing information related to programme objectives, project timelines, key activities, expected outcomes, budget allocations, HR policies, and geographic coverage.
  • Preparing concise analytical summaries that highlight strategic insights and key findings from the collected data. Final deliverables will include a comprehensive programme and partnership intelligence matrix, an analytical summary identifying development priorities and funding trends, and a final briefing report presenting key findings and recommendations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for this position should possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise summaries. Familiarity with UN agencies and their operational frameworks is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate proficiency in research methodologies and data analysis, as well as excellent written communication skills to effectively convey findings and recommendations. A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:
A background in international relations, development studies, public policy, or a related field is preferred.
