Job Overview: The Program Officer for Prevention and Immunization will play a crucial role in supporting the Government of Indonesia’s Health Transformation Agenda through the ACTION Project (2025–2027). This project aims to transition primary healthcare from fragmented, program-based models to an integrated system. The officer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring prevention programs, particularly maternal, neonatal, and child health (MNCH) and immunization initiatives. The role involves working closely with government counterparts and partners to execute strategies and improve program performance, utilizing digital health and data systems to enhance monitoring and decision-making processes.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Program Officer will provide comprehensive technical, programmatic, analytical, and administrative support for prevention programs, including MNCH and immunization. Responsibilities include translating technical recommendations into operational plans, supporting subnational government partners with planning and implementation, and ensuring systematic documentation of activities. The officer will also support the execution and management of prevention programs, assist in planning and coordination of studies and assessments, and contribute to the preparation of technical reports and policy briefs. Additionally, the role involves routine communication with government counterparts and maintaining effective relationships with various stakeholders, including cross-sector partners and community actors.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in public health, health informatics, epidemiology, data science, or a related field. A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a results-oriented environment is required. Strong analytical skills, the ability to synthesize information, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate sensitivity to cultural and political contexts in Indonesia and have experience working in complex program environments. A strong work ethic, professionalism, and self-motivation are also necessary attributes for this role.
Educational Background: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as public health, health informatics, epidemiology, or data science.
