Job Overview: The Family Support Specialist - DFV position is a full-time role (38 hours per week, Monday to Friday) based in Roma, Queensland, with a maximum-term contract until June 30, 2027, which may be extended. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Family Support Specialist include:
Providing immediate support to women and children impacted by domestic and family violence.
Conducting thorough risk assessments when domestic and family violence is identified.
Developing and maintaining strong networks and referral pathways to support desired outcomes for clients.
Collecting and accurately recording information for the purposes of accountability, evaluation, and reporting.
Engaging with clients in a culturally sensitive manner, understanding the diverse backgrounds and needs of those affected by domestic violence.
Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and outcomes for clients.
