Job Overview:
The National UN Volunteer (NUNV) Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Unit at UNFPA. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of women and youth, particularly in the context of the 10th Country Programme (2023-2027). The associate will be responsible for strengthening donor intelligence, developing partnerships, coordinating proposals, and enhancing resource mobilization efforts. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying funding opportunities and engaging with both traditional and non-traditional donors, including the private sector and international finance institutions. The associate will also contribute to the successful implementation of the Country Programme by ensuring effective communication and collaboration among various teams within UNFPA.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The NUNV will undertake a variety of tasks including mapping potential donors, maintaining an updated partner tracker, and developing tailored partnership strategies. They will conduct horizon scanning to monitor funding opportunities and donor priorities, support the RM Specialist in coordinating between technical programs and state teams, and facilitate the consolidation and review of donor proposals. The associate will also assist in managing agreements to ensure compliance with UNFPA policies, prepare compelling presentations and reports, and participate in corporate networks for knowledge sharing. Additionally, they will identify and develop human-interest stories to showcase program impact and maintain a comprehensive analysis of resource mobilization efforts.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate integrity, transparency, and accountability, with a commitment to excellence in program delivery and partnerships. They should possess strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, as well as the ability to build strategic alliances and partnerships. Proficiency in resource mobilization and proposal writing is essential, along with effective communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is required, typically including a degree in social sciences, international relations, public administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees may be preferred, particularly for candidates seeking to engage in high-level discussions and negotiations with donors and partners.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in resource mobilization, partnership development, or related fields. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the UN system, is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Indian context and understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities will be an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly Hindi or other regional languages, is considered an advantage as it enhances communication with local stakeholders and communities.

Additional Notes:
This position is a national UN Volunteer assignment based in New Delhi, India. The contract duration is subject to availability of funding and operational necessity, with no expectation of renewal. The monthly Volunteer Living Allowance is INR 70158.41, and additional benefits include health insurance, annual leave, and access to learning resources. Volunteers are expected to arrange their own housing and living essentials, and they should be culturally sensitive and adaptable to the local environment.
