Job Overview:
The ET Consultant (Information Solutions Analyst) position at the World Bank Group is a critical role within the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about leveraging information technology to support the mission of the World Bank Group in ending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day information solutions and services that facilitate library operations, ensuring that staff and consultants have access to the information resources they need to perform their roles effectively. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in service delivery. The Information Solutions Analyst will work closely with various teams within the organization to enhance the library's offerings and support the overall mission of the World Bank Group.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Information Solutions Analyst include, but are not limited to: delivering reference support through various channels, assisting users in accessing internal and external information resources, managing the library reference desk, searching for and retrieving digital materials, processing Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and Document Delivery requests, coordinating the shipping and return of physical materials, maintaining physical collections, purchasing library materials, processing invoices, preparing usage statistics and service reports, creating and publishing web content, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, and providing backup support to colleagues. The role demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess fluency in spoken and written English, with additional language skills considered a plus. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in Interlibrary Loan (ILL), resource sharing, and document delivery services, as well as strong knowledge of library material procurement and vendor platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential, and familiarity with corporate purchasing tools and library administrative tasks is highly desirable. The ability to work in a diverse global workforce and demonstrate strong client service orientation is crucial.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Information Science, Library Science, or a related discipline. Candidates with degrees in Information Technology or other related fields, combined with relevant experience, may also be considered. The educational qualifications should reflect a solid understanding of library operations and information management principles.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in library services, particularly in Interlibrary Loan (ILL), resource sharing, and document delivery. Candidates should have a proven track record of working in library or information delivery environments, demonstrating their ability to manage user requests and provide high-quality reference services. Experience with library administrative tasks, purchasing, and financial administration is also essential for this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the World Bank Group. While additional language skills are not required, they are considered advantageous and may enhance a candidate's profile. Proficiency in other languages can be beneficial in a diverse workplace and may facilitate better communication with international stakeholders.

The role is classified at the EC1 grade level, and candidates should be aware that an Extended Term (ET) appointment is subject to a lifetime maximum of three years.
