Job Overview:
The Senior Officer, Prospect Research & Management, is a vital role within the External Relations (ER) department of the IRC, which encompasses private fundraising, marketing, communications, and advocacy. This position is responsible for supporting the IRC's sustainability by shaping team-level strategies and contributing to broader Prospect Research & Management (PRM) planning. The Senior Officer will deliver advanced research and analysis, aligning research strategies with organizational goals, and providing expert strategic advice to senior staff and frontline fundraisers focused on US-based donors. The role requires building and maintaining positive relationships across internal teams and external vendors while driving superior research and prospect management services to increase philanthropic support for the IRC's clients. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Officer will produce and oversee the quality of confidential biographical, financial, and due diligence research profiles on US-based high-net-worth individual (HNWI) donors and prospects, ensuring that outputs meet the highest standards. They will lead high-value pipeline development for fundraisers focused on the US market, applying sophisticated prospecting methodologies to identify, rate, and qualify HNWI donors capable of transformational financial support. Additionally, the Senior Officer will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior frontline fundraising colleagues, aligning research strategies with organizational goals and providing expert input on donor and prospect management. The role involves developing and implementing data-driven research strategies that integrate qualitative analyses and sector trends into actionable plans for prospect/donor management and revenue maximization. The Senior Officer will drive innovation in tools and methods supporting prospect research and portfolio management, manage and optimize resources such as CRM and subscription databases, and lead special projects that contribute to team-wide problem-solving. They will also provide line management to PRM Manager and colleagues, supporting their professional development and fostering an inclusive team environment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience. Ideally, candidates should have at least 5 years of experience applying quantitative and qualitative analysis and business intelligence in support of non-profit fundraising, with demonstrable expertise in US markets and an understanding of broader philanthropic trends. Proficiency in internet search engines, sophisticated search techniques, fundraising software, and data retrieval services is essential. Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Word, Outlook, and Excel, are required. Proven experience working with relational databases, preferably Salesforce, is also necessary, along with the ability to produce and maintain documentation to support team protocols.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree as a minimum educational qualification, with a Master’s degree being strongly preferred. Candidates should have a solid foundation in quantitative and qualitative analysis, particularly as it relates to non-profit fundraising. Relevant coursework or training in business intelligence, data analysis, or related fields would be advantageous.

Experience:
