Job Overview:
The role of the Asistente técnico de logística is crucial for the daily implementation of logistics management activities related to both goods and services required by various projects. This position is designed to ensure compliance with operational, regulatory, and financial standards, thereby guaranteeing efficient and transparent logistics processes that align with institutional policies and donor requirements. The Asistente técnico de logística will be expected to support the logistics function's portfolio according to the Action Plan, provide logistical administration and basic support across all organizational areas, prepare status reports as required by management, and ensure the proper presentation of all supporting documents to the financial unit. Additionally, the role involves participating in the planning and delivery of logistics activities, maintaining documentary records of logistics management, and promoting ideas for improving logistics functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Asistente técnico de logística will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: implementing NRC's policies, SOPs, manuals, guidelines, and donor requirements in daily logistics activities; supporting the development of market analyses to determine the best intervention methods; participating in project purchasing planning; executing purchasing processes in accordance with organizational guidelines; implementing alternative purchasing processes such as cash transfers and advance mission purchases; utilizing and recording data in institutional tools for effective purchasing management; participating in supplier evaluations; ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in logistics procedures; managing warehouse operations, including proper storage and rotation of stock; maintaining accurate records of NRC's newly purchased assets; supervising the packaging, loading, and unloading of materials; ensuring compliance with safety regulations in warehouse operations; and managing fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance and transportation planning.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Asistente técnico de logística position should possess a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in support functions within humanitarian contexts. They should have prior experience working in complex and changing environments, with proven experience related to the responsibilities of the position. A basic knowledge of the English language is required, along with competencies, knowledge, and experience relevant to the context. Candidates should also have solid knowledge in supply chain management, warehouse management, asset management, and transportation management, as well as proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with ERP software.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a technical or technological degree or being a final semester student in fields such as Business Administration, Logistics Management, International Business, or similar areas. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the logistics processes and operational requirements of the organization.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of proven experience in a similar role, particularly in humanitarian support functions. Candidates should demonstrate experience in managing logistics operations, including procurement, warehouse management, and fleet management, as well as the ability to adapt to dynamic and challenging environments.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is Spanish, as it is essential for communication within the organization and with local stakeholders. A basic understanding of English is also required, as it may be necessary for reporting and communication with international partners.
