Job Overview:

The internship lasts for a standard duration of three months, with the possibility of extension up to six months, depending on the needs of the Office. Interns will have the opportunity to work in various areas of Business Relationship Management, Data Analytics, or Project Support, contributing to significant ICT projects and initiatives. The role is unpaid, and candidates may choose to work part-time or full-time, with a preference for full-time availability. Interns will be supervised by a staff member and will engage in a variety of tasks that support the UN's digital transformation efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be involved in a range of duties that align with the objectives of the Business Relationship Management Section of OICT. Responsibilities include assisting ICT teams on various projects, providing administrative support for meetings and conferences, preparing documentation such as training materials and operational reports, and supporting data analytics initiatives. Interns will also have the chance to work with tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and MS Dynamics, and will assist in maintaining relationships with OICT partners, understanding their needs, and coordinating with clients and vendors. Specific duties may vary based on the area of focus chosen by the intern, whether it be Business Relationship Management, Data Analytics, or Project Support.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum educational qualification of a High School Diploma. Additionally, applicants should be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent) or be in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Preference will be given to those with academic knowledge or experience in fields such as International Affairs, Information Policy, Law, Information Systems, Computer Science, and related areas. No prior work experience is required, but relevant training or coursework is beneficial.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this internship includes either a completed graduate program or being in the final year of a bachelor's degree program. Candidates pursuing studies in countries where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages should have completed at least four years of full-time studies towards a relevant degree. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of ICT and its application within the UN framework.

Experience:
While no specific work experience is required for this internship, candidates should demonstrate relevant training, education, or skills that would contribute to the UN's objectives during their internship. This could include coursework in ICT, project management, data analysis, or related fields.
