Job Overview:
The role of the Youth Training Volunteer is centered around training young individuals to enhance their awareness of the labor market, develop employability skills, and build the confidence necessary to engage in blue economy value chains. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Youth Training Volunteer will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the employability of youth. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing training programs focused on labor market awareness and employability skills tailored to the needs of young individuals.
• Conducting workshops and training sessions that cover essential skills such as resume writing, interview techniques, and professional communication.
• Collaborating with local organizations and stakeholders to identify opportunities within the blue economy and to facilitate connections between youth and potential employers.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to youth participants, helping them to build confidence and navigate their career paths.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
• Reporting on progress and outcomes to VSO management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability in the training process.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Youth Training Volunteer position must meet several qualifications, including:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in social science, education, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role or experience working with youth-led start-ups or small enterprises.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young individuals.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes at least a Bachelor’s degree in social science, education, or a related field. Experience:

The position is a volunteer role, and while the salary is not specified, volunteers will receive an allowance paid in local currency to cover reasonable living expenses in Tanzania. It is important to note that this allowance may not be sufficient for sending money home.
