Job Overview:
The Humanitarian Support Analyst position at UNFPA Myanmar is designed to enhance the coordination and management of humanitarian operations in a challenging environment characterized by conflict, displacement, and natural disasters. The role involves providing direct support to the humanitarian function, focusing on improving internal coordination, ensuring timely and high-quality reporting, and supporting resource mobilization efforts. The analyst will play a crucial role in strengthening planning and tracking systems, managing operational tasks, and ultimately increasing the efficiency of humanitarian responses. This position is vital for enabling strategic leadership in humanitarian efforts and ensuring that life-saving interventions in sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence, and mental health are effectively implemented.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Humanitarian Support Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Reporting and Information Management: Coordinating inputs for donor reports, drafting and editing narrative reports, maintaining reporting calendars, and ensuring that all reports are clear and aligned with donor requirements.
• Proposal Development and Resource Mobilization: Supporting the drafting of project proposals and concept notes, coordinating inputs from various units, and tracking proposal pipelines.
• Operational and General Support: Assisting with cross-functional follow-up between different teams, organizing documentation for audits and reviews, and preparing presentations and strategic notes. Additionally, the analyst will engage in activities that promote volunteerism and contribute to the UNV Buddy Programme.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Humanitarian Support Analyst position should possess strong analytical and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. They should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in drafting reports and proposals. A strong understanding of humanitarian principles and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment are essential. Candidates should also exhibit adaptability and flexibility in responding to changing circumstances and priorities.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as international relations, public health, social sciences, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees are preferred and may enhance a candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in humanitarian response, project management, or a related field. Experience working in complex environments and familiarity with UN systems and procedures will be advantageous. Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language for reporting and communication within the organization. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Myanmar would be considered an asset, enhancing the ability to engage with local stakeholders and communities.
