Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Implementing and managing programs that align with CRS's mission and objectives, ensuring that they are effective and responsive to the needs of the communities served.
• Collaborating with local partners and stakeholders to develop and execute project plans, including setting goals, timelines, and performance indicators.
• Monitoring and evaluating program outcomes to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement, ensuring that all activities adhere to CRS's safeguarding policies.
• Providing training and capacity-building support to local staff and partners to enhance their skills and knowledge in program implementation and management.
• Preparing reports and documentation related to program activities, outcomes, and financial expenditures, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organizational standards.
• Engaging with community members to gather feedback and insights that inform design" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">program design and implementation, fostering a participatory approach to development.
• Representing CRS in meetings and forums with stakeholders, advocating for the needs and rights of vulnerable populations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for this position should possess a strong understanding of humanitarian principles and practices, with a demonstrated commitment to safeguarding vulnerable populations. They should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work effectively with diverse groups of people. Additionally, candidates should be proficient in project management, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies that achieve desired outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with the local context and challenges faced by communities in Malawi is highly desirable, as is experience working in international development or humanitarian settings.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as international development, social sciences, public health, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree is preferred and may be advantageous for candidates seeking to demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise in the field. Relevant certifications in project management or humanitarian response may also be beneficial.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three to five years of experience in international development or humanitarian work, with a focus on program management and implementation. Experience working in Malawi or similar contexts is highly desirable, as is familiarity with the challenges and opportunities present in the region. Candidates should also have a proven track record of successfully managing projects and collaborating with local partners and stakeholders.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within CRS and with international partners. Proficiency in local languages spoken in Malawi is highly desirable and can enhance the candidate's ability to engage effectively with community members and stakeholders.

This position may involve a contract duration that is contingent upon funding and organizational needs. The seniority level of the position will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The role is expected to be full-time, with the possibility of requiring travel to various locations within Malawi.
