Job Overview: The Logistic Coordinator plays a crucial role in implementing logistics responsibilities within a designated area, ensuring the smooth operation of procurement and logistics activities. Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistic Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: ensuring adherence to NRC policies and donor requirements, implementing logistics systems and procedures, coordinating operational planning and management of logistics activities, conducting market assessments, preparing reports and analyses, managing the logistics team, ensuring anti-corruption and transparency in processes, overseeing the safe transport of staff and goods, and contributing to the implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming Minimum Standards. Specific responsibilities include delivering logistics support services to NRC projects, providing technical guidance to procurement staff, assisting in logistics budget preparation, leading on procurements, managing assets, ensuring fleet management, and responding to audits as needed.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of experience as a senior Logistician in a humanitarian or recovery context, with a proven track record of results related to logistics responsibilities. They should have experience working in complex and volatile environments, knowledge of leadership skills, and fluency in both English and Arabic. Additionally, candidates should have a university degree in Supply Chain or a relevant field, knowledge of donor logistics policies, and familiarity with logistics management in Sudan, particularly in the Darfur region.
Educational Background: A university degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for effective logistics management and understanding of procurement processes, asset management, and fleet operations.
