  • This role is designed for an individual who will manage the Climate Change and Education website, which serves as a global hub for climate-resilient education. The consultant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the website, ensuring that content is effectively managed and that the site remains a valuable resource for stakeholders in the education and climate sectors. Additionally, the consultant will support the BRACE webinar program, providing administrative and coordination support for virtual events, and assisting in the dissemination of knowledge through newsletters and other communications. The role requires a proactive approach to knowledge management and data support, contributing to the overall success of the BRACE program and its objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: managing the Climate Change and Education website's daily operations, overseeing the content pipeline, and ensuring quality assurance processes are in place. The consultant will coordinate with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) to maintain an effective operational relationship and work towards continuous improvement of the website. Additionally, the consultant will provide administrative support for the BRACE virtual events program, including managing attendee logistics, coordinating with external webinar specialists, and ensuring that outputs from webinars are captured and published on the website. The consultant will also assist the Communications Adviser in curating stories and resources for the monthly newsletter, ensuring timely uploads to the website. Furthermore, the consultant will provide ad hoc knowledge management expertise and data visualization support for broader BRACE program activities, contributing to the development of knowledge products, dashboards, and presentations as needed.

This includes expertise in content pipeline management and the design of taxonomy or tagging systems. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) or knowledge management systems is essential, as is experience in building or maintaining data visualization tools or dashboards, particularly in Power BI or similar platforms. The consultant must have the ability to manage an ongoing content pipeline and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders throughout the duration of the consultancy. Strong written English skills are required, along with the ability to produce clear documentation and process descriptions. Experience in contributing to knowledge products, communications materials, or presentations is also necessary.

Experience in managing multi-year engagements and coordinating with diverse stakeholders is crucial for success in this consultancy role. Candidates should also demonstrate a track record of successfully delivering knowledge management projects and contributing to the development of educational resources or tools.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, as the consultant will be required to produce documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders. While English is the primary language required, knowledge of additional languages relevant to the regions served by the BRACE program (such as Khmer, Spanish, or French) would be considered an asset, enhancing the consultant's ability to engage with a broader audience and contribute to knowledge exchange.
