Job Overview: The Project Closure Assistant plays a crucial role in enhancing the coordination of project flow to support effective project management. This position is vital for ensuring that all project activities are concluded in accordance with UNDP guidelines and donor requirements. The assistant will be responsible for preparing project closure reports, compiling and consolidating project results, lessons learned, and key achievements for final reporting. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of project closure reports, as well as timely submissions. Additionally, the Project Closure Assistant will assist in organizing and maintaining project documentation and records necessary for closure, ensuring that all outputs, data, and documentation are properly archived. This position is essential for writing the closure report of project implementation activities, adhering to UNDP policies and procedures, and ultimately contributing to the successful conclusion of projects.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Closure Assistant will undertake a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
Supporting the preparation of project closure reports in alignment with UNDP guidelines and donor requirements.
Compiling and consolidating project results, lessons learned, and key achievements for final reporting.
Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of project closure reports.
Assisting in organizing and maintaining project documentation and records required for closure.
Supporting the proper archiving of project outputs, data, and documentation.
Writing the closure report of project implementation activities in accordance with UNDP policies and procedures.
Collaborating with project teams to gather necessary information and insights for effective reporting.
Engaging with stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of project closure are addressed comprehensively.
Monitoring compliance with UNDP standards throughout the closure process. 1

Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Project Closure Assistant position should possess a strong understanding of project management principles and practices, particularly in the context of international development.
