Job Overview:
The position of Coordinateur Urgence is crucial for planning and coordinating the daily implementation of the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) project activities in the regions of Tombouctou and Taoudeni. The role involves collaborating with state partners, UN agencies, sub-clusters, and humanitarian actors to develop a robust network for effective project execution. The incumbent is expected to conduct ongoing and quality context analysis, leveraging both internal and external resources to propose NRC's positioning in monitoring alerts, assessing needs, and planning harmonized and coordinated multi-sectoral responses. The coordinator will oversee project activities such as humanitarian monitoring, multi-sectoral assessments, and responses in line with RRM guidelines. Additionally, the role requires validating assessment and intervention reports, drafting project sheets, and supervising the archiving of all relevant documents. The coordinator will act as the focal point for the RRM mechanism in the concerned regions, providing training, support, and technical assistance to RRM partners. Regular monitoring and evaluation of the humanitarian crisis in the Burkina-Mali border area will also be part of the responsibilities, along with working on humanitarian access in the Burkinabé border zone. The position demands proactive proposals to enhance the impact, speed, and quality of responses by capitalizing on lessons learned from each intervention.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Coordinateur Urgence include: coordinating all RRM activities with state partnerships, UN agencies, sub-clusters, and humanitarian actors; conducting continuous context analysis to inform NRC's positioning; coordinating project activities related to humanitarian monitoring and multi-sectoral assessments; validating project documents and reports; providing training and technical support to emergency officers and RRM partners; anticipating and proposing RRM positioning based on thorough context analysis; planning and supervising RRM activities in collaboration with stakeholders; submitting key project documents for approval; monitoring project indicators and financial expenditures; proposing improvements for project activities on a quarterly basis; contributing to donor reports and the development of new projects; enhancing existing tools and developing new ones; ensuring timely implementation of activities; and contributing to weekly and monthly reporting documents to keep the PM informed of RRM activities.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the position include a university degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in sociology, social sciences, law, or a related field. Candidates must have professional experience in project coordination within a humanitarian context, with prior experience in implementing rapid response mechanisms. Proven results in management and relevant work experience in areas such as water, hygiene, sanitation, food assistance, shelter/NFI, protection, gender, and accountability are essential. Specific knowledge of one or two local languages and familiarity with the region are advantageous, along with experience in data collection and processing.

Educational Background:
