Job Overview: The Driver position at CRS Malawi is primarily responsible for transporting authorized passengers and cargo to and from approved work-related destinations. Duties and Responsibilities: The Driver will be responsible for the following duties:
Adhering to the CRS Malawi vehicle policy at all times.
Recording all vehicle mileage, purpose of trip, and POET in the vehicle management system.
Checking expiry dates on road tax, insurance, and Certificate of fitness for all vehicles.
Cleaning CRS vehicles regularly.
Conducting vehicle checks, including water levels, engine oils, condition of tyres, and ensuring the presence of vehicle tools, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits.
Checking mail as assigned.
Performing banking and cashing of checks for the office.
Assisting with office work such as photocopying, filing, and making calls.
Performing other work-related errands as required based on authorized vehicle requests.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of a Malawi School Certificate of Education, with a qualification in Defensive Driving considered a plus. A clean driving record is essential, along with at least two years of relevant driving experience. Candidates should demonstrate good spoken English, possess knowledge of Malawian roads and locations, and have the ability to read road maps. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to be self-motivated and organized are also required. Flexibility and adaptability to change are important traits for this role.
Educational Background: Candidates must have at least a Junior Certificate of Education or an equivalent qualification. Additional qualifications in defensive driving are preferred, enhancing the candidate's suitability for the role.
