Job Overview: The Regional Financial Analyst II plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of CRS by preparing detailed analysis reports and analyzing financial data. This position is responsible for directly supporting a regional portfolio with various financial analysis projects. The analyst will conduct monthly reviews of actual financial performance against budget, ensuring that projections and monthly reports are accurate. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Regional Financial Analyst II include preparing detailed financial analysis, identifying trends and variances, and conducting financial-related analyses to make informed recommendations based on financial data. The analyst will conduct monthly reviews of actual financial performance against budget, ensuring accuracy in projections and monthly reports. They will consolidate and maintain the overall financial health analysis of the countries in the assigned region and support the development of proposal budgets for these countries. The analyst will assist country offices in implementing internal and external audit corrective action plans and will be involved in special projects and analyses to resolve accounting reconciliations, complex financial practices, or new grant setups within the region. Periodic support visits to assigned countries are expected, along with supporting the onboarding process for Finance staff across the region. The analyst will also provide training and capacity building for finance and program staff on financial management, policies, and procedures, and contribute to Global Finance initiatives to improve financial reporting tools and ERP finance functionality.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Regional Financial Analyst II position include a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting within the non-profit sector. Additionally, work experience with ERP systems is essential. Candidates should possess knowledge of U.S. Government and major non-USG donors' funding regulations, as well as familiarity with GAAP and a proven general knowledge of Fund Accounting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to communicate financial information clearly. Candidates should be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have the ability to present complex financial information succinctly. A flexible work attitude and the ability to work productively in both team environments and independently are also necessary.
