Job Overview: The Talent Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Digital Impact Division (DID) at UNICEF, which focuses on leveraging digital technologies to enhance UNICEF's mission. This position is centered on strengthening the talent and learning ecosystem within the division, acting as the focal point for all learning and development initiatives. The Specialist will ensure that learning initiatives are practical and effectively designed, focusing on talent development, digital learning, and knowledge management. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including chiefs, managers, and Human Resources Business Partners, to align learning pathways with organizational goals and to support the development of capabilities necessary for digital impact and transformation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement talent development and learning solutions that utilize human-centered design and adult learning principles.
Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and regions to ensure effective delivery of learning initiatives.
Facilitate training sessions and workshops, ensuring clear communication and engagement.
Monitor, analyze, and report on learning and talent development metrics to inform decision-making.
Coordinate with external learning vendors to enhance learning offerings.
Support the design of learning pathways for future roles based on workforce insights.
Work closely with the Global Learning Centre to ensure alignment of learning initiatives with organizational needs.
Foster innovation and ideation within the talent development space.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources, Talent Development, or Learning & Development.
Proven experience in designing and delivering blended, digital, and self-paced learning solutions.
Strong skills in stakeholder collaboration, facilitation, and communication.
Proficiency in data organization, analysis, and reporting to inform learning decisions.
Experience coordinating with external learning vendors and managing learning platforms.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as Human Resources Management, Education, Organizational Development, or Learning and Development. Additional qualifications in Human-Centered Design, Design Thinking, Learning Technologies, or Coaching Certification are advantageous.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in areas such as Human Resources, Talent Development, Learning & Development, and Organizational Development. Candidates should have a strong background in designing and delivering various learning formats, including digital and blended learning.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is desirable. Familiarity with AI literacy and responsible use is also beneficial.
