Job Overview:
The Fellow position at UNHCR Greece is designed for eligible students from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specifically those enrolled in the MSc programme 'Media and Refugee/Migration Flows.' The role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience within an international organization while contributing to UNHCR's core mandate of protecting refugees and asylum-seekers. The Fellow will work under the supervision of the Associate Operations Officer and will be involved in various activities that support the organization's mission. This includes assisting in the organization of coordination meetings, collecting and consolidating data for reports, and supporting awareness-raising activities related to refugee issues. The Fellow will also monitor media coverage of UNHCR's mandate and provide administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the Unit. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Fellow will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to: organizing and implementing coordination meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, maintaining mailing lists, and sending invitations. The Fellow will assist in collecting information and consolidating data for periodic reports, such as statistical snapshots, and preparing background briefings or briefing kits for visitors. Additionally, the Fellow will support the organization of awareness-raising activities for International Days, such as International Women's Day and World Refugee Day. The role also involves contributing to the planning and implementation of various projects undertaken by the Unit, monitoring online, print, and social media for major developments related to UNHCR's mandate, and providing routine administrative support to facilitate the smooth functioning of the Unit. Furthermore, the Fellow will contribute to the production of Communicating with Communities (CWC) materials that inform refugees and asylum-seekers about their rights, procedures, and available services across different locations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an excellent command of both Greek and English, with strong writing, editing, and analytical skills. An interest in humanitarian and refugee-related issues is essential. Previous experience in communication or fundraising projects is considered an asset. The ideal candidate should demonstrate resourcefulness, creativity, and innovation, along with a willingness to learn. Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are crucial. Additionally, skills in photo and video editing, as well as graphic design, are desirable but not mandatory.

Educational Background:
