Job Overview:
As a Talent Acquisition Officer at CERN, you will be an integral part of the Talent Acquisition team, focusing on attracting and recruiting top talent for the organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of recruitment, including sourcing candidates, managing the recruitment lifecycle, and enhancing CERN's employer branding. You will engage with potential candidates, particularly from under-represented groups, and contribute to promoting CERN's image across multiple platforms. Additionally, you will analyze recruitment data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, ensuring that CERN continues to attract the best talent in the field.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include participating in the full recruitment lifecycle, which encompasses CV screening, candidate communication, interview coordination, and contract administration. You will proactively engage with potential candidates through various online platforms and professional networks, focusing on under-represented groups such as women in STEM. You will also contribute to promoting CERN's employer brand through social media, job boards, and career fairs. Generating reports and analyzing recruitment data will be essential to identify trends and insights that can lead to continuous improvement in the recruitment process. Furthermore, you will be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism throughout your work.

Required Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you must possess knowledge of basic recruitment and sourcing principles and techniques. Familiarity with content creation and social media tools will be considered an asset. You should be highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. A proactive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and contribute to team objectives are essential. Additionally, you must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required, along with a commitment to learning French.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in fields such as HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related area. Your highest educational qualification should be either a Bachelor's or Master's degree. It is important to note that applicants without a university degree are not eligible for this position, nor are those who have previously held a CERN fellow or graduate contract. Additionally, applicants with a PhD are not eligible.

Experience:
The position requires a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation. This experience should ideally be in human resources or a related field, providing a foundational understanding of recruitment processes and practices. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their ability to engage with candidates and manage recruitment tasks effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory for this position. Candidates should also be committed to learning French, as it will enhance their ability to communicate within the organization and with potential candidates.
