Job Overview:
The Analyst position is a regional role focused on the Central Asia region, specifically dedicated to the SME Finance & Development Group. This role involves contributing to all phases of the project cycle, including project origination, structuring, execution, implementation, and monitoring. The Analyst will be responsible for tasks assigned by the operation leader or senior project team members, which may include conducting comprehensive due diligence, performing analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis and advanced financial modeling, and ensuring effective post-signing implementation and monitoring. The Analyst will also support the Small Business Initiative (SBI), which aims to enhance the institution's SME business by coordinating activities and providing finance and advisory services to SMEs. This position requires active participation in various streams of work related to the SBI agenda, ensuring a more integrated approach towards the SME sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst will work under the guidance of the operation leader or a more senior banker and will be involved in structuring and executing transactions. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive research and analysis of background materials, market information, and financial performance data; evaluating potential risks related to proposed projects; preparing and updating financial models and projections; assisting with technical cooperation assistance; and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks in accordance with the Bank's policies and objectives. Additionally, the Analyst will undertake portfolio monitoring tasks, including compliance with project agreements, monitoring project progress and financial performance, and preparing draft monitoring reports with recommendations for corrective actions. The Analyst will also collaborate with the Advice for Small Business unit to identify financing opportunities and support marketing events.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience in relevant fields. Professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are desirable. Strong quantitative and numerical skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret financial information and design financial models. Candidates should have credit analysis skills, project management and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial analysis tools. Strong writing skills are necessary for drafting project proposals and investment memos, and the ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines is crucial.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree is required for this position, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are also desirable, indicating a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.

Experience:
Relevant experience in the financial industry is required, ideally from an investment or commercial bank, private equity firm, asset management firm, or auditing/financial consulting firm that operates to international standards. Candidates should have exposure to industry or country-specific experience, which will enhance their ability to contribute effectively to the role.

Languages:
Fluency in Tajik, Russian, and English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an advantage, particularly in enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders in the region.
