Job Overview:
The Project Manager will play a crucial role in the implementation of the project titled 'Strengthening Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Localisation in Thailand Phase II.' This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage project activities, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure compliance with UNDP guidelines. The Project Manager will be responsible for fostering dialogue around the SDGs at both national and local levels, with a focus on human rights, gender equality, and climate change resilience. The successful candidate will work closely with public authorities and non-state actors to enhance engagement and coordination in the localization and monitoring of the SDGs. This role demands strong communication, analytical, and planning skills to address the interconnectedness of various thematic areas and sectors, ultimately contributing to sustainable development in Thailand.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager's duties include ensuring effective and timely delivery of project outputs, managing day-to-day project activities, coordinating with implementing partners, and ensuring compliance with UNDP procurement and financial guidelines. The Project Manager will oversee project risks, maintain an Issues Log, and prepare progress reports for the Project Management Team. Additionally, the role involves liaising with key partners and stakeholders, creating strategic partnerships, and supporting resource mobilization efforts. The Project Manager will also facilitate knowledge building and management, providing quality advisory services and contributing to knowledge networks. The incumbent will perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office and organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in fields such as Economics, Political Science, Development Studies, Project Management, Business Management, or related areas. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) combined with two additional years of qualifying experience will be considered. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree or 4 years with a Bachelor's degree in sustainable development and/or project/programme management. Proven expertise in end-to-end project management, financial management, risk management, and partnership management is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders are also required.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Economics, Political Science, Development Studies, Project Management, Business Management, or related areas is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) in the stated fields, combined with an additional two years of qualifying experience, will be considered in lieu of the advanced degree.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sustainable development and/or project/programme management if they hold a Master's degree, or 4 years if they hold a Bachelor's degree. Experience in policy analysis, development work, project management, and implementation in the area of sustainable development is highly desirable. Proven ability to link SDG implementation with climate change actions and experience in coordinating activities for different stakeholders in various contexts are considered assets.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Thai is required for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and partners.
