Job Overview:
The Project Team Lead (Employability and Education) will play a crucial role in the implementation of the 'Helios+: Comprehensive actions for the integration of third-country nationals into the labour market' project in East Macedonia and Thrace. This position involves close collaboration with national and local authorities, as well as experienced partners, to promote the integration of beneficiaries of international protection into Greek society. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing employability support, organizing Greek language courses, vocational training, and facilitating independent living for beneficiaries. The role requires a proactive approach to connect beneficiaries with job opportunities and to enhance their employability through various activities and workshops.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Project Team Lead include:
  • Supporting labor market integration through individual and group career counseling sessions.
  • Participating in the mapping of potential employers and identifying job vacancies.
  • Identifying opportunities and areas of employment to cultivate collaborations with private sector entities to enhance the employability of beneficiaries.
  • Connecting beneficiaries with job opportunities and providing guidance on additional documentation required for employment.
  • Organizing workshops, seminars, and events related to employability, focusing on beneficiaries’ access to the labor market.
  • Advising beneficiaries on necessary documentation such as driving licenses, language certificates, and official translations.
  • Ensuring accurate data entry and quality physical archiving of Means of Verification.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Regional Coordinator or Project Team Lead.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a university degree or higher in fields such as Business Administration, Social Sciences, Law, Education, Economics, or any related field. A minimum of three years of relevant experience is essential. A postgraduate degree or relevant training in career counseling is considered an advantage. Candidates should possess a combination of knowledge, education, training, and skills necessary to perform the essential functions of the position effectively.

Educational Background:
Candidates must hold a university degree in a relevant field, with accredited universities recognized by the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. A postgraduate degree or specialized training in career counseling is preferred, as it enhances the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have previous work experience in a similar role, demonstrating an adequate combination of knowledge, education, training, and skills. Experience working in a multicultural environment is preferred, as it aligns with IOM's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Greek, both written and oral, is required for this position. Proficiency in IOM's official languages, which include English, French, and Spanish, will be evaluated during the selection process, potentially through written and/or oral assessments. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their language skills as part of the recruitment process.
