The role involves analyzing local data on children's situations, promoting communication actions, and ensuring better allocation of public resources for children's needs. The consultant will also provide technical assistance to municipal governments and develop actions to protect children's rights, ensuring that their voices are heard and considered in policy-making processes.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a university degree in relevant fields such as Social Sciences, Political Science, or Sociology. Additional postgraduate qualifications or specialized training in project management, public policy evaluation, and child rights are preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in technical assistance related to children's rights initiatives at the municipal level is required. Experience in developing information systems for child rights and previous work with UN agencies is also necessary.
Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory. Knowledge of English or other languages is considered an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the strengthening of MUNA's information management mechanisms by reviewing existing databases and participating in the creation of new tools for tracking municipal progress.
- Collaborate in the development of a unique digital platform that integrates data on diagnosis, planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Assist in the technical review and expansion of training modules for local public management.
- Provide guidance to municipalities participating in MUNA and support the organization of events and meetings.
- Strengthen information systems for monitoring and evidence generation related to child protection measures.
- Support the implementation of indicators to evaluate progress in provincial protection systems.
- Organize training sessions for teams involved in MUNA regarding data usage and management.
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in Social Sciences, Political Science, Sociology, or related fields.
- Postgraduate studies or specializations in project management, public policy planning, monitoring, and evaluation, preferably related to children and adolescents.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in technical assistance related to children's rights at the municipal level.

- Previous work experience with UN agencies and in coordinating various stakeholders for large-scale projects is highly valued.

- Most activities will be conducted virtually, but the consultant must be available for in-person meetings at UNICEF's headquarters in Buenos Aires. Travel to various provinces for inter-municipal meetings and visits is expected, with approximately 5 to 10 long trips and 10 to 20 short trips per year. The consultant must submit a CV and a separate economic proposal in Argentine pesos.
