Job Overview: The Driver position is essential for the smooth operation of the UN Human Rights Training and Documentation Centre. The incumbent will be responsible for safely transporting authorized personnel and ensuring timely deliveries of documents and parcels between the UN office and various institutions, including Ministries, Embassies, and Permanent Missions. Duties and Responsibilities: The Driver will be responsible for the following duties:
Safely driving vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel.
Making regular deliveries of parcels and documents between the UN office and other institutions.
Processing protocol matters, including visa requests and vehicle license renewals.
Making minor purchases and collecting urgent items from local suppliers.
Collecting goods from customs and handling clearance arrangements.
Meeting official personnel at the airport and facilitating immigration and customs formalities.
Dealing effectively with officials and visitors.
Assisting in the preparation of routine correspondence and memoranda.
Maintaining the assigned vehicles, including checking oil, water, battery, and brakes, and performing minor repairs. 1
Logging official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, and maintenance records. 1
Ensuring compliance with rules and regulations in case of accidents. 1
