Job Overview:
The Private Sector Fundraising Officer (NOA) plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of UNICEF's private sector fundraising strategy. This position focuses on expanding the active donor base and enhancing the acquisition strategy to ensure long-term pledging outcomes. The officer will coordinate fundraising activities, support the country office team in achieving targets, and foster collaboration between various fundraising modalities. The role involves implementing new acquisition projects, analyzing current strategies, and ensuring the sustainability of fundraising efforts. The officer will also oversee various fundraising channels, ensuring engaged partnerships and driving revenue growth for both the Country Programme and UNICEF globally.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Private Sector Fundraising Team: Provide administrative and operational support across all fundraising activities, assist in data collection and organization for reports, and maintain updated records and timelines.
  • Operational Contribution to the Private Sector Strategy: Assist with background research for strategy development, compile market and donor information, and track updates in the fundraising environment.
  • Acquiring, Cultivating and Retaining Individual Donors: Prepare materials related to donor acquisition, coordinate activities across channels, and ensure accurate data management.
  • Establishing Meaningful Partnerships: Identify potential partners, prepare documentation for engagement, and provide administrative support for meetings and follow-ups.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Business Management, Communication, Marketing, International Relations, Social Sciences, or related fields. A minimum of one year of professional experience in private sector fundraising is required, along with familiarity with the private sector and previous managerial experience. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to contribute to strategic fundraising plans, identify new opportunities, and maintain effective partnerships.

Educational Background:
A university degree in relevant fields such as Business Management, Communication, Marketing, International Relations, or Social Sciences is required for this position. This educational background is essential to understand the complexities of fundraising and donor engagement.

Experience:
The position requires at least one year of professional experience in private sector fundraising. Familiarity with the private sector is essential, and previous managerial experience is considered crucial for success in this role. Candidates should have a proven track record of implementing fundraising strategies and achieving targets.

Languages:
Fluency in both Spanish and English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another UN language or the local language of the duty station is considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and partners.
