Job Overview:
The position of Asistente de Programas at WFP involves providing technical support in managing programmatic actions related to projects developed in the office, specifically in the areas of the World Food Programme's mission. The role is crucial for facilitating the effectiveness and efficiency of interventions aimed at vulnerable populations in Colombia, including victims of violence and marginalized communities. The incumbent will work under the supervision of a Senior Program Associate and is expected to carry out organized and precise work with minimal supervision. This position also includes the potential for providing guidance on standard practices to less experienced staff. The Asistente de Programas will play a vital role in ensuring that the programmatic actions align with WFP's objectives and contribute to the overall mission of reducing food insecurity and malnutrition.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Asistente de Programas will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: supporting the planning and monitoring of technical and financial activities of cooperating partners implementing projects for WFP; providing technical support in processing and managing information related to beneficiaries and assistance provided through WFP interventions; compiling information for the preparation of required reports; monitoring the management of beneficiary requests through the SUGAR tool and other corporate systems; identifying discrepancies in data and communicating them to the relevant parties; assisting in the development of tools to improve project planning and monitoring; reviewing and correcting standard documents to contribute to the documentation of actions; ensuring the continuous update of information in established systems to guarantee accuracy and availability; monitoring data management by WFP partners to ensure coherence, consistency, and validity; ensuring data integrity for accurate information availability in institutional systems; collaborating with various stakeholders to gather information for operational support; and performing other activities as requested by the supervisor that align with the role's purpose.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a desirable professional degree in administrative, economic, engineering, or related fields. A minimum of four years of experience in project/program information management is required. Specific desirable experience includes working on humanitarian assistance and/or development projects, managing databases and information systems, and field operations in complex contexts, particularly with migrant populations, ethnic groups, and victims of gender-based violence. Proficiency in computer usage and office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is essential, along with experience using web-based systems and corporate platforms. Competencies required include results management, effective communication, planning and organization skills, and teamwork facilitation.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes the completion of secondary education as a minimum. A professional degree in relevant fields such as administration, economics, engineering, or other areas related to the job functions is highly desirable. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of program management and the operational needs of WFP.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience in managing project or program information. Candidates should have specific experience in humanitarian assistance or development projects, as well as familiarity with database management and information systems. Experience in field operations, particularly in challenging contexts involving vulnerable populations, is also highly valued. The ability to work effectively in a team and manage results is essential for success in this role.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish, both spoken and written, is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of English is desirable and would be considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication and collaboration in a multicultural environment.

Additional Notes:
The contract type for this position is a Service Contract (SC) with a duration of six months, subject to renewal based on performance and available funding. The position is classified at the SC L4 remuneration level.
