Job Overview: In the role of Supply Chain- Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial part in providing procurement support while ensuring adherence to DRC's established procedures and guidelines at the base level. This position is integral to the development of base strategies, which are subsequently translated into actionable plans and daily operational tasks. The role is primarily based in Mykolaiv, with the expectation of travel to other locations as necessary. Your responsibilities will include tracking all orders from the planning and request stage through to final receipt, preparing relevant documentation for the procurement of goods and services, and evaluating bids and proposals. You will ensure that the bids evaluation report, technical evaluations, minutes of negotiations, and negotiated contracts contain all necessary facts and information to justify the recommendations made. Additionally, you will participate in the joint verification of procured goods and equipment to ensure conformity with technical specifications and quantities. Correct application of ERP supply chain processes is essential, and you will also assist in the recruitment, training, and capacity building of the procurement team. Optimizing logistics-operations" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">logistics operations to enhance cost-effectiveness, including establishing long-term supply contracts, will also be a key focus of your role.
Duties and Responsibilities: Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
Tracking all orders from the point of planning and request through to final receipt.
Preparing relevant documents for the procurement of goods and services.
Evaluating bids and proposals, ensuring that the bids evaluation report, technical evaluation, minutes of negotiations, and negotiated contracts contain all necessary facts and information to justify recommendations.
Participating in the joint verification of procured goods and equipment to ascertain conformity to technical specifications and quantities.
Correctly applying ERP supply chain processes.
Assisting in the recruitment, training, and capacity building of the procurement team.
Optimizing logistics operations to increase cost-effectiveness, including establishing long-term supply contracts.
Required Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess at least 2 years of relevant work experience. Additionally, we expect the following qualifications:
Experience in administrative tasks, including maintaining filing systems.
Excellent IT skills, with a preference for experience in operating an ERP supply chain system.
Experience in supply chain management, including procurement, transport and distribution, warehouse, and stock management.
Familiarity with standard procurement procedures and documentation.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline. Candidates with additional certifications in procurement or supply chain management will be considered favorably.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in procurement and supply chain management. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing procurement processes and logistics operations effectively.
Languages: Fluency in English at a B2 level is mandatory, along with fluency in Ukrainian. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
Additional Notes: The contract length for this position is 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. A 3-month probationary period is required. The position is classified at Level H, and it is a full-time role based in Mykolaiv. The start date for this position is as soon as possible. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for employees on national contracts.
