Job Overview:
As the Retail Store Manager for the new Prospect Op Shop, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of volunteers and driving the retail vision of Save the Children. This position is not just about managing a store; it is about making a significant impact on the lives of children through the funds raised from retail operations. You will be responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience while ensuring that the store meets its financial targets. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Retail Store Manager will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: leading and supporting a team of volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service; mentoring and coaching volunteers to enhance their skills; managing the volunteer roster to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts; developing and executing marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive sales; collaborating with the retail team to maximize profits; overseeing store operations, including inventory management and visual merchandising; ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations; and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Retail Store Manager position should possess strong leadership skills and a background in retail management. Exceptional customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Candidates should also demonstrate problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to overcoming challenges. A passion for retail and a commitment to the mission of Save the Children are crucial. Educational Background:

Candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a retail environment, with a focus on customer service and team leadership.

Languages:

Additional Notes:
This position is a full-time role based in Prospect, South Australia. The successful candidate will be expected to work Saturdays and may have flexible working hours.
