Job Overview:

  • The role involves conducting fundraising activities primarily in Zagreb and Rijeka, as well as in other cities across Croatia with mobile teams. The organization aims to continuously recruit a team of 35 to 50 fundraisers to meet its fundraising targets. This position is integral to UNICEF's structured private sector fundraising activities, which are a core component of the 2023-2027 Country Programme Document. The F2F fundraising technique has been identified as a central method for acquiring pledges, and the role requires fundraisers to represent UNICEF's vision and mission professionally while engaging with potential donors.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the F2F Fundraiser include: representing UNICEF and its mission professionally; acquiring regular donors; effectively conveying the message of UNICEF's program activities; communicating the importance of sustainable funding through the private sector; conducting continuous research and updating knowledge through various channels; collecting sensitive donor information while ensuring confidentiality; adhering to work schedules and delivering administrative tasks on time; following instructions and procedures for reporting; maintaining professionalism during official travel; and providing general support to fundraising activities as needed. Fundraisers are expected to work a minimum of 4 hours per day and at least 3 days per week, including two weekend shifts per month. They will also be responsible for encouraging monthly donations of 10 EUR or more from donors aged over 25 years.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma. Proficiency in written and spoken Croatian is required, while proficiency in English is preferred. A good understanding of UNICEF's brand and activities is preferred, along with knowledge of ethical marketing practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are mandatory, as is adaptability as a team member. Candidates should demonstrate eagerness to learn, be approachable, outgoing, and resourceful, and possess the ability to adjust to new surroundings and circumstances.
